The journey of IndiTales began way back in 2004. When I started writing I had no idea, how this would evolve, but over the years my two passions dominated this blog: Travel and Books. Book reviews have a home of their own at AnuReviews. Over time, I also started writing for print publications – a list can be seen on the Media page.

This blog began with my sharing my travel stories, but it has been nurtured by you readers. When you tell me about new places, new experiences, I plan my trips based on them. When you tell me that my travel tales helped you choose your next destination, it encourages me to write more.

Courtesy IndiTales, I have traveled to 18 countries and nook and corners of India. I have spoken at Tourism conferences, Travel and Tourism Events, Student community events and mentored a few startups in travel space. Mainstream media has been kind to cover both IndiTales and me as its author.

I love walking across cities, nature trails and along the rivers. Check out our walking trail series on all major cities in India. Our mission to leave a lasting impact on the tourism economy of India through IndiTales.

I believe that Travel (and tourism) makes the world a happier place. Travelers are happy people, and it is nearly impossible to hate the people you have visited. Very few professions are blessed to be in a happy space, most are busy solving problems and handling disasters. Blessed to be in a space where you give people dreams of visiting distant lands as much as inspire them to look around and discover their own backyard.

In my earlier Avatar, I worked in IT industry for 12+ years. It has been 10 years that I gave up formal employment. I consult in Business Innovation for my bread and butter. A few years back, I authored the book The Mouse Charmers – Digital Pioneers of India published by Random House.

I am supported by Shashi (my better half). He has taken most of the bird photographs that appear on IndiTales.
